Down by the harbour

Pumped up the tyres on my bike and cycled down to the harbour this afternoon. Very high tide and the sea was quite choppy so the boats were bobbing about. 

Just a couple of weeks to wait and then the large yachts will be craned out. Two or three spend the winter/spring months secured on the quayside and the rest are loaded onto trailers and taken away.

Just heading back to the bike when I noticed the Sandwich Terns resting on the rocks on the other side of the harbour wall. I had to do a bit of a Google search to identify the terns .... I just knew they weren't the Arctic variety.
