Battlesbridge antique centre .... a collection of huts, mills, shacks & sheds selling all manner of used items. And on the top floor of the mill at Battlesbridge is a quaint & friendly cafe with far-reaching views of tidal mills. It's possible that Battlesbridge is named after the battle between King Canute & Edward Ironside. Although Ironside lost Mrs K reminded me that this was the last time an Ironside ever lost a fight (Mrs K is an Ironside!)
