Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,
Biker Chick recently took on a cafe but is struggling a bit so she is hosting evening events to bring in a bit of extra cash.
She had organised a wine tasting this evening with a sommelier guy who used to work for Tom Kitchen so The Prince, Kitty Cat, Marsh and I went along to drink wine be supportive.
At the start, we all had a list of the wines on an A4 sheet in front of us. Marsh couldn’t read it (font too small/eyes too old) and jokingly asked me if it was a questionnaire. I told him it absolutely was and that he had to describe how he had lost his virginity and then hand it back to the sommelier guy.
That set us off on a fit of the giggles that seemed to take ages to control. As you know, the child in me is quite prone to giggling in inappropriate situations. Adding alcohol and a mischievous friend doesn’t help with controlling it.
The wine tasting was good and I actually learned stuff. At the end, Biker Chick and sommelier guy suggested ideas for future wine tasting nights which sounded very educational, but I thought a ‘wine off’ would be hilarious. We could slot in a couple of rogue supermarket wines and see if anyone (including sommelier guy) could tell. The Prince and Marsh (who were there under duress) were delighted with me for committing us to another evening in a cafe in the middle of nowhere with strangers!
