A new language

Back to work for a staff development day before we get the students back tomorrow.

As I teach a profoundly deaf student I leapt at the opportunity to learn some basic sign language today.

Although there is a signer in class for the student I do want to speak their language too.

Did you know:
Hearing aids don't work for all hearing impaired people?
Not all hearing impaired people can lip read?
For many who use British Sign Language, English is their second language?
Sign Language has dialect and accent just as spoken language does?
