Silly Saturday?!

Yesterday a friend who had had “the lurgy” all week, turned up at the coffee morning as she was fed up and wanted to socialise.  I was saying don’t breathe on me, as I’m going away and don’t want to catch anything.  This morning I awoke with a terrible headache, sore throat, coughing, sneezing and aching!  Great!  I had arranged to go for my flu jab yesterday, but the pharmacist was out so they couldn’t do it - I have an appointment for one at the GP’s, but not put until end of October. So, this was my day today - lots of fluids and hot lemon to try to ward off the bugs.  It also meant that I missed a Sue Ryder walk, a Macmillan coffee morning and a surprise party.  :-((
