I had the afternoon off work today, and met up with Char (who had the whole week off) at Blackfriars.  We had a little wander round the Tate to start with, then went to the excellent Foragers of the Foreshore exhibition at the Bargehouse.  We wandered on along the Southbank and took a detour into the National Theatre as it started to rain, and sat in the café with a coffee and cake, people watching.  We carried on down the Southbank again after that (ducking into the Royal Festival Hall when it showered again), and walked all the way to Hungerford Bridge, crossed the river there, and walked back past the Houses of Parliament - then back over Westminster Bridge and back to Waterloo.

We went for a lovely dinner (and a cheeky cocktail) in The Archduke, then walked back over to Waterloo station and said goodbye.  A lovely afternoon/evening :)
