Up early and at J’s for 9.30. We finished lining the raised bed with plastic and then dig out some leaf mould and compost from the back garden and then barrowed i through the house to add to the bed. Rain lashed down so we retreated to the house for J’s birthday lunch and do some internet browsing. Cleared up a bit in the afternoon so started shovelling the soil but couldn’t finish (and got very wet) as it kept pouring with rain. Never mind we made a really good start
