First homework of the year
I don't think the weather could've been more grey and miserable today if it tried.
After dropping the child at school I headed off to see my herbalist. All went fine and after talked to her about thom as well we're going to try a dairy free diet for him and see if that helps him as he gets itchy skin as well as a few other things. Fingers crossed it should work.
I then did a sneaky dive to Glasgow to get some stuff for college and accidentally got some new trousers at the same time.
The child bounced out of school happy but itchy, that'd be the Ben and jerrys yesterday and milk in his cereal. His homework is to bring in some artefact to show how life was in the past as they're making a mini class museum. I have nothing from my family but thankfully rob had a few options including a scrapbook from his great aunts trip to America in 1959. It's really cool looking at it as its got a leaflet telling you about how amazing the new jet engine planes were, and even has the menus and passenger lists from their cruise on the queen Mary there and back. There's lots of other things in it like a map of California, photos from where they went, leaflet on the new New Jersey turnpike, and lots more. So much has changed since then and I'm sure a lot of places would not be recognisable. It may be a good trip to reenact though if that lottery win ever happens.
