Cyclamen
It's been a while since I last posted; haven't been out much. In spite of the promise of heavy rain (which arrived very soon after I took this shot), I decided to take a stroll in the gardens at Anglesey Abbey. This National Trust property is famed for its Winter Garden and the snowdrops which carpet the grounds in the early spring. But today it was the turn of the cyclamen. Usually, they are seen growing through green leaves but, perhaps because of the extreme dry weather we've been having, they are grounded in russet hues. The Dahlia Garden was also showing some lovely colours. Good to visit now whilst the colours are fresh and vibrant, notwithstanding forecasts for heavy rain.
