Green lane

This year the green lane had an autumn cut.  Can't remember when this was last done.  Imagine when such wide ways were the routes for driving cattle or sheep or geese to the local urban centres of consumption.  Will be interesting to see whether the mix of wild flowers changes next year as a result.
