Today's the day ............................... to bring back to life

We spent quite a lot of the weekend sorting out various cupboards - trying to declutter as blouseybrown would say.

It's not an easy thing to do because most things have got some story behind them and they bring back lots of memories. Before you know it, you've been reminiscing for the past half hour and nothing has gone in the to go to the charity shop bag never mind the rubbish bag.

Take this little cottage-shaped clock - a present from one of the boys many years ago and no longer working. The thinking went something like .........Perhaps it just needs a new battery? I've got some batteries somewhere that might be the right size. Lots of searching later followed by clock surgery with a sharp knife - Look! It's working!

Well we can't get rid of that now, can we ........................?
