Two In A Row

It seems like the damp and cooler weather is contributing to some late season blooming. As a coda to yesterday one of my backyard golden torch cacti bloomed. Since almost all cactus flowers wither and die by sunset it was a pleasant surprise to see another this morning. A light rain was falling which added a nice touch.

Since the majority of the flowers that bloom around here are from various species of cactus I tend to get bored with putting up a basic photo of one (original is an extra). I also really need late night distractions so messing around with photos makes me concentrate on what I’m doing and only that. So thank God I picked up a camera in 2010 for the first time and then found blip.

One step forward and two back today. I brought the wrong death certificate to the bank (it wasn’t supposed to be stamped “For Government Use Only “) and when I was registering for physical therapy they discovered that my driver’s license had expired on my birthday. Turns out that the great  state of Arizona does not send any notifications bringing the pending expiration to your attention.
Almost forgot: I stepped in some javalina poop when I got out of the car at the mailboxes.

The step forward was finalizing and paying the caterer for the reception after the funeral mass. The owner of the restaurant was very kind and even bought our lunch.

Oh, and have I mentioned that my mostly useless brothers have become a giant pain in the ass?  Another story for another day perhaps.

I can’t thank my blipper friends and the entire community for your unwavering support. Thank you for your kind words and stars and hearts. Even those who pass by with a view warm my heart. Sorry I haven’t been able to thank you individually but know that you are my refuge and I honestly would not have gotten through 2019, the worst physical and emotional year of my life so far without you...and there’s still 3 months left.
