Man Makes Fire

An invite to stay with long lost friends in Camus Bay near Loch Carron. It's a fair haul to get there, but it is remote, and settling. 

There was getting to know you fun with wonderful kids we had never met, so accomplished, so talented yet still vulnerable.  There was raucous laughter and reminiscing.  There was a wonderful boat trip to Plockton from Robert, a quiet boy who came into his own on the sea. And then there was man and fire. Trees were chopped down, hauled around and fire was lit and stoked.  The boys gathered in a protective huddle, so proud of themselves.
