Better than Netflix

Taught two classes their first ever recorder lessons today. They were fascinated and asked lots of questions about the instrument, so I ended up bringing out my Mum’s gorgeous wooden treble, my tenor and then my clarinet (which I haven’t played for YeArS!). Each time I played the only piece I can play from memory- “Happy Birthday”, plus a few scales and arpeggios. They were all mesmerised, bless them, and then one little girl sitting near me muttered “Wow! This is better than Netflix!”
