I started my day by posting my ballot for the upcoming Canadian federal election - something I haven’t been allowed to do for some time (and quite right, too).

It was a good, productive day in the office, ticking things off lists in preparation for some time off.

In the evening I watched some of the Parliamentary coverage from Westminster. I can’t recall ever feeling such despair at the state of those who are meant to lead. It felt like the pantomime season had come early with the front bench vying for the role of the villain, making Parliament a laughing stock.

It made me seriously consider moving back home.
