Enjoying the View, Blackford Hill

On my own for most of today. Washing and groceries done first, then bike maintenance.

In the afternoon, I walk to Cameron Toll via the Braid Hills. The sun has come out. It looks like the end of August won't be as wet as the rest of the month. I have quite a bit of time, so I take the long route, I walk along the Braid Hills bridleway then heading to Blackford Hill via the Hermitage of Braid. The blip shows a couple enjoying the view across Edinburgh near the top. I head back to the bridleway, then I walk east to Liberton. It's ages until a bus, so I just walk to Cameron Toll.

My partner can't meet me as she is busy at work, so I go get a coffee and snack in a café, then wander around the shops before getting the bus back to Morningside. It is a lovely afternoon, so I sit on a bench near the Morningside Clock in the sun and wait for my partner who is on the next bus.
