Zaspa

The communist era Gdansk district built on an old airfield where a great deal of the concrete runways remains in a very poor condition.

The area is also well known for its street art which adorn the sides of the concrete apartment buildings. It is considered to be Poland’s biggest urban gallery for street art!

This piece by Justyna Dziechciarska is wonderful. In tribute to the brave Polish pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain. A very moving piece for me.
