Asters and Butterflies

Dear Diary,

My giant aster is doing a splendid job attracting bees and butterflies.  It is the last thing to bloom in the garden so they know they have to strike while the pollen is hot!  This lovely Monarch seemed quite oblivious to me clicking away so intent was he/she on their feeding.  I am glad I was able to provide a fuel stop on his way south.  The weather has turned cooler; morning temperatures in the 40'sF instead of the 60's.  Time to dig out the sweaters!
