The Numbers Game.

A day at my studio desk where I am working with a wide variety of numbers.

Today, phones have calculators as do tablets and computers. Apps and programmes work with numbers and very rarely do we have to resort to paper and pencil.

I bought my first electronic calculator over 50 years ago and before that we could use a slide rule.

I still have my original but a few years I bought an extremely complicated slide rule in its original box and complete with a detailed instruction book; all of which show very little signs of use. And I bought it for a £5 note.

It is an instrument with real presence, and apparently very collectible.
