Snowy Crater Rim Walkway

The landscape was a little whiter this morning as we walked on the Crater Rim Walkway above Lyttelton Harbour.

Yesterday there was a snowfall on the Port Hills, a bit unusual for late September.  So we rugged up against the cold wind that was still blowing, and crunched our way over the track.

However the ground was too warm for it to lie, being springtime, and on our return journey, the snow was mostly gone.

A super day in the great outdoors!
