A piece of history

A busy day, wet, cloudy and some sun, still not had enough rain though.  Did housework, had coffee and then went to the churchyard for 2 hours in between showers!  Took friend to hairdressers and visited another whilst she was in there.  Back home I made a blueberry and lemon traybake for Macmillan coffee morning tomorrow.
Going out to gardening club this evening, realised I hadn't taken a photo all day so found these photos.  The blip is from my step-father's time in WW2 and the other is my dad in his uniform and with his pay book.  It was quite sad looking back at these, fortunately they both came back.
