Lochgilphead in Mono

Having slept all morning I wanted to get outside in the afternoon.

It was a very mild 17 C today, most unusual. I had heard there was an Egret at the head of the loch so persuaded my minder to take me there for a short time.

Of course it poured with rain as soon as we arrived which made photography difficult. I did see the Egret but far away, see extra. My minder would not let me stay out longer so I was hustled home however it was good to be out and I didn't even mind getting wet.

This shot is the local town from the muddy estuary at the head of Loch Gilp, a short Loch attached to Loch Fyne.
