Last morning

For the last two days, the sea has returned to stormy so there was no chance of going on the beach.  The sky remained mostly clear though and so we could lounge  by the pool.  We had all day as we didn't set off for the airport until 8pm this evening.
Unfortunately our 10.55 pm flight was delayed by 40 minutes and when we finally reached Gatwick, there was a further 35 minute delay before a carousel opened for our luggage, so we didn't arrive home until 4am. Never mind, we had a lovely holiday with our friends S & A and we are very grateful that we weren't caught up in the demise of Thomas Cook, which saga was unfolding (unknown to us) even while we were leaving the airport.
