If at First you Don’t Succeed.....
What a good idea, I thought, to use up some wool remnants knitting a pair of fingerless gloves -Less FairIsle, less stitches, a speedier knit than a beanie, I thought. So wrong. For whatever reason I found 4 small needles, 2 colours of wool and 2 clumsy hands a trial to negotiate.
Having eventually produced one glove, I then had to repeat the exercise trying to remember what I had done with the first one so that they looked like a pair. The only success I chalked up was making a steek for the thumb so I could continue knitting in the round.
I don’t much like my Fairisle colour pattern either but I can’t fault their warmth.
I am not going to repeat the exercise.
