Signs of Autumn

No one had a good night’s sleep, especially BB.  TT got up in the night with him and they moved downstairs to the sofa to try and get BB more comfortable. Overall I had a reasonable sleep, but woke up exhausted.

BB hasn’t moved far from the sofa all day.  He’s in pain, but managing it stoically, but really struggling emotionally.

TT went to church and then I sent him out to the supermarket in the afternoon.  I have pottered around the house all day, doing not very much, apart from checking the BB was OK.

He watched the Scotland rugby game and wasn’t too happy, then he and TT watched the England game.  TT was happy, BB less so.  He had a little breakfast, but seemed to find his appetite at lunchtime when bacon rolls were on offer.

Later a couple of his friends and their mums popped round, and not long after they had left, another couple of his friends appeared.  They were so sweet, and so concerned for him.  They came with a packet of wispas – BB’s favourite chocolate bar!

Later I went out for a  walk, as I hadn’t left the house all day.  My timing was bad, as it rained.

There have been lots of calls and messages all day to see how BB is doing, which has been lovely as he has really struggled today.  He’s worrying about the prospect of an operation, he’s worried at having to manage with only one hand, he’s sad and frustrated that he can’t do any sports for a  couple of months, especially rugby!

Thanks for all your kind messages, he’s fast sleep now, so hopefully he will be a bit brighter tomorrow.  Not much in the way of blips, apart from this sign of autumn.
