Empty Chairs

Today must have been one of the wettest this year, as it has hardly stopped raining. It eased off a little this afternoon, but not before causing the cycling championships 'Fan Park' on the Stray to be closed due to being waterlogged and flooded in places. This is a very long shot of the empty deck chairs on the boggy grass near the stage. 
There were quite a few slips and crashes in the men's U23 time trial this morning, but I saw these on the telly. It wasn't until the afternoon that I ventured out when the women's time trial was underway.

The first extra is (another) long shot of a rider making their way up Parliament Street towards the finish in rather wet conditions. Umbrellas were in abundance.


I spotted a well known TV personality doing post-finish commentary for the BBC on my way home - in the final extra.
