Stranded

Now I'm not a massive slug fan, they eat my vegetables, but this tiny one stranded on a blade of grass, in the middle of the lake that is now my garden, somehow looked forlorn enough that I decided he wasn't too bad. 

The supreme court ruled today that Boris acted unlawfully, essentially lying to the Queen and Parliament, these are crazy times indeed. I should imagine he is feeling somewhat forlorn as well. 

I'm reading a book called Authentic: How to be Yourself and Why it Matters, which is full of exercises to do which are somewhat uncomfortable. I suppose I'm going to have to get used to the discomfort of self reflection in the coming years. Lectures start in earnest tomorrow..
