A camp wedding

Today was the day of the wedding and the reason we headed back up to the states so soon after arriving in New Zealand. He day was beautiful and we made sure we enjoyed it all. After breakfast we headed to the beach and the lake to take a dip and then head up Black Brook. Charl stayed on the beach with Kara and Nola whilst Ben and the twins headed out into the lake in the Kayaks. The lake was very shallow as the water had been drained a little as they were doing work on the dam, the kayaking trip went in search of turtles and found one as big as a pizza swimming around the the clear water.

After that we headed for lunch and then to get ready for the ceremony itself. The ceremony was beautiful and the setting of the chapel at camp was perfect. Afterwards we went down to the lake for drinks and pictures before heading up to the lodge for our amazing dinner of mac and cheese and bbq pulled pork for the non vegetarians. We danced late into the night and Noli used her energy to keep up with all the older ones including us. After that we headed back to our cabin for some much needed rest.
