The bubble

A new room with a view

At last have moved back into newly decorated old bedroom.

I have enjoyed my 3 week stay in the spare bedroom - it was how I imagined living in London would be.

I had named some of the regular characters we had got used to hearing during the night - no original names but fun all the same i.e. Ernie (the 4am milk float - of course). Forest (the 5am jogger - I named in a fit of giggles after forest gump). I don't think husband will miss me giggling to them at said time each day - or worse trying not to giggle resulting in a lot of big snorting. The late night revellers on their way home. I will even miss the start of morning commuters. The two men and lady who walk together chatting loudly at 5.45. The cars one here one there for an hour then the full on steady stream. The refuse collection (who would have thought there were so many different companies for commercial waste, residential waste, recycling).

Mr blackbird.

Actually mr blackbird also covers the back garden so I guess I will still hear him at 4 tomorrow morning. I can't believe what a different world it is at the back of the house to the one at the front. I guess another few weeks and the wild ducks will be returning to nest on the back garden wall/hedge. Which will mean the return of mr fox to steal their eggs.

It will be lovely to hear my garden waking up again. My robin family, the blue tits, blackbird, mr n mrs woody (wood pigeon-of course). I can't believe you don't hear an ounce of noise at the rear its a whole new world out the front.

I'm so happy to be back in my bedroom - it had been decorated just days before my back went. Luckily I had cleaned it so all that was needed today was for husband to take the mirror off the bed and move the bed back to where it should be. Oh and make the bed of course.

It is very much colder in this room than the little spare room - i will certainly miss the warmth and not having to worry about bracing myself for the first five minutes in bed to be freezing. I see now why in the old days they had four poster beds with curtains to keep the warmth in.

As I am stuck lying here its making me see the room in different lights so I can plan how to decorate it with soft furnishings. (Of course only in my head as everything I would want would be totally out of price range). WHICH IS WHY TK MAXX ROCKS. I think it will be some time before budget allows such things but for now I'm VERY excited about my colour choice and I think the mirror looks fabulous against it. Actually it could do with a Bloomin good dust n polish to get its wrapper marks off its been stood in for a year!!! Hhhmmm will add it to the list of chores I'm compiling whilst sat around staring at walls.

This bed I think I vaguely remember I am sure cost the price of a small car. We have both had niggly backs over the years. Hence the purchase of this monstrosity. We have often queried our investment - were we fools, were we greedy.

For the record. I do declare. It is officially one of our best investments. I feel so much better and I've only been in it three hours. It feels like it is curing rather than an endurance test or causing more harm than good.

A big thumbs up to this. Oh monster bed I've totally missed you. I promise not to go camping in other rooms again - when this room gets painted again in another 20 years they will just have to paint around me.

I have done my blip now as unsure I would stay awake for long later as have to get up now. We have to go to tesco to get bulk dog mixer we are totally out as I have been bed ridden - husband is taking me as obviously the 17.5 kilo bag is a tad heavy for me today - even a cotton bud seems heavy just lately. It will be a VERY quick shop with husband in attendance. Which for once is good as that also means cheaper too.

Then we have to go to the dump - Christmas wrapping and boxes to dispose of - I will be waiting in the car for that chore.

Then off to husbands moms to drop in birthday present. Hopefully back in time for tea and early to bed. I will be exhausted after that round trip. I can't complain it will be a change of scenery from this duvet for a few hours. Now time to spend half an hour putting a sock on.

Husband won't mind I am in bed early tonight as he has the new series of Lewis on tonight. He is very excited about this. I did warn him this would happen now he's approaching 40. It's a slippery slope...

It turns out Lewis (the new series) is only on for an hour each part as opposed to the usual two. Husband is furious. Made me snigger.

Bumped into the gorgeous KBL, Mia Jane and ottis in tesco.

Mother in law liked her birthday pressie.

I have just text husband downstairs (happily watching Lewis) to advise as much as I have declared my love for this monster bed today - I had under estimated (clearly forgotten) how cold this monster room is. We need to save and buy a new mattress (to suit our backs) and move immediately back to the little bed in the little room until a warm spring arrives.

O be Jesus ITS FREEZING
