Rounding up the Herdwicks in Little Langdale
We walked one of our favourite low level routes from Elterwater via Little Langdale, Tilberthwaite, Tarn Hows, Skelwith Bridge and so back to Elterwater. Rosemary’s introduction to the Lakes.
We were expecting the weather to deteriorate during the day but it stayed fine if a little cloudy at the end. The route across Little Langdale is one of our favourite views in the Lakes and it didn’t disappoint today. Fine views of the Langdales too and Helvellyn and Fairfield towards the end of the walk.
It doesn’t look as if the weather is going to be kind for the Blipmeet tomorrow. We’re a hardy lot though and I suspect a drop or two of rain will not deter us.

Looking forward to seeing you all at sometime during the day.
