Borovets Skiing: Day 3....

...Ice patch speed demon.

I'm happy to report that, after 2 days of intense training, I'm almost instinctively ready to deal with moments when I've picked up a touch more speed than I'm comfortable with (having almost accurately used a snow plough turn but naively assumed parallel skis after executing the turn). Were it not for the zippy ice patch I'm sure I'd have faired a little better. Mind you, so would the toddler that I completely annihilated. A total wipe out and a rather angered dad....bugger!

Lauren continues to impress with her air, grace and skiing dignity. She glides. She turns. She twists. Love that chicky!

The New Year 'Gala Dinner' exceeded expectations. To be fair, I had none and Lauren's were reduced to assuming that we'd probably be sat with grumpy locals. A it turned out, we had a great set of couples around us, which really made the evening.
