Madrid's Vertical Garden

It's five minutes down the Paseo del Prado from our hotel. I blipped it in 2012 on an earlier visit.  We went out today to get train tickets for a short trip to Toledo later this week. But the day's main expedition was to the Thyssen Collection (which we had visited on that earlier trip--the name is pronounced tissen). There are 200 plus works (almost all paintings) but they are dispersed over three floors--two very large, so we found it tiring. There are some excellent works, but most are of average quality at best--somewhat frustrating.  Dinner was excellent, at a small Italian restaurant very nearby.  The extra is the shadowy entrance to our hotel, at 10:30 in the morning.
