Sunset at No1 Basin

Historic Vessels from the South Eastern Tug Society the 1966 Fearnought and 1948 MT Kent against a breathtaking dusk sky at No 1 Basin Chatham Maritime this evening.

A beautiful view to end a busy day two spent at the Dockyard Chatham Salute to the 40s event. I escaped traffic management for 45 mins this afternoon to look around the event. Saw the military vehicle parade and caught up with a few Dockyard colleagues to hear how their weekend had gone.

Drizzle and a strong breeze made for a chilly day but the evening sky emerged in a stunning pink just in time for me to go and see HMS Medway berthed at No2 Basin opposite these historic vessels.
