Alghero, Sardinia
Today we visited the city of Alghero.
We lunched at the restaurant "Hopera" seen on the left and we were rather taken by the myriad of bird cages suspended in the air.
Note, if you will, the cobbled streets with a smooth central isle for those with mobility issues. This soon gave way to an even narrow strip of uneven, rough paving slabs, too far apart to allow safe passage of say, a wheelchair.
When I become King of All the World, I will order all centuries old pavements, streets and walkways throughout the known world, to be ripped up and re-layed with smooth, non slip surfaces.
That is, after I have brought about World Peace.
