Sibling Love
These two American Goldfinch fledglings are siblings and were at first on separate branches with mama taking turns feeding them. When she left, the one on the right began to pick away at the branch it was on (bugs?) so the other one joined it and likely wondered what extra food it had gotten. In extras, I have included the two of them waiting and watching for her return. She did return but lit on a branch closer to me and was studying me instead, so I left the area so she would return to her youngsters. There are oodles of these youngsters this year! Monarchs and Goldfinch are aplenty....still.
Have a super start to the week!!
