Glorious day for a hillwalk.
We'd booked this day ages ago and decided to do a walk from our new Pentlands book as the weather wouldn't be quite so important, though we needn't have worried.
The hills aren't very high but are quite steep and walking them is a bit of a rollercoaster so harder than first appearances. We did the Four Tops walk, a figure-of-eight from the south going over W and E Kip, S Black Hill & Scald Law (the highest), down to the valley and then a loop round just below Hare Hill back to the 1st col and down a different loop.
Hot lower down but a cool breeze on the tops.
Ate in IKEA before heading home for a shower and then to a Quiz Night at the community centre. We were jt 2nd at half-way but managed to sneak ahead in the2nd half, mainly due to some inspired guessing from our team members
