Late Developer

Just a touch of warm light glancing off the petals on this tiny verbena flower on a lightly clouded evening. They are in reality very small petals and the plant only has a few stems, but up close they show their charm. 

Light magenta and dark green is an unusual combination and I'm not sure I like it. I suppose I could have tried to shift the hue of the green a little.

The verbena has come late in the season, but non the less welcome and the hope is they will spread.
