Community Sunday.

At our Vineyard Church once a month we have “Community Sunday”. As the people who go to the church all live in different areas there are various smaller groups, which meet to socialise having a meal, a walk, summer barbecues etc etc. And an option to share an evening each week at someone’s home, for discussion of the Bible or prayer.
Our particular community group got together for breakfast at the Bistro in the Park. This was followed by a walk.
The photo is part of the group numbering about 18 altogether. We all sat outside and it was amazing given that it poured in the night, and had been showery beforehand.
As we were nearing the end of the walk the sky was beginning to look rather full of threatening rain. A saying I discovered when we moved here was “It’s looking black over Bill’s mother’s” meaning it’s about to release a deluge!
Never could find out who “Bill’s mother” was nor how the saying originated.
It sounds better with a Black Country accent!
It started to rain as we made our way home. A mild, muggy, moist, drippy, autumnal kind of day. Such a contrast to yesterday. Such is life in a country where the weather is often a source of comment!!
