Together with hundreds of others we waited expectantly to watch the newly built aircraft carrier HMS Prince of Wales go under the three bridges over the Forth. (just visible beyond the two road bridges)  It would need to sail around low tide with its radar mast lowered in order to pass under the bridges.  Eventually as the tide rose it became apparent that, despite some news reports, it would not sail today
