River Nith at Dumfries

Hello everyone - I'm back.  Did you miss me?!

I certainly missed you - but it was impossible to find any sort of wifi signal where we were - and even a mobile connection was a bit hit and miss.  It's nice to be home now though and I look forward to catching up with what you've been doing during the past week.

As ever, I've had a great time messing about on the narrowboat with my usual gang of buddies.  This time we were on the Calder & Hebble Navigation starting off from Sowerby Bridge.  Sometimes it was a canal - and then it joined in with the River Calder to form a much wider waterway.  We had to avoid quite a few weirs like the one above on the River Nith at Dumfries - but by the time I got to this one on my way home, I had left the narrowboat way behind.

I'm hoping to sort through the pictures I took when I was away and will blip them in due course.  I'll keep you posted ………………………!
