Deckchairs on the Green

We donned our smart clothes today as we headed off to the Budleigh Literary Festival this morning.  We listened to a very enlightening discussion on linguistics by David Shariatmadari and then popped back for lunch before heading out again for a second one on animal navigation by David Barrie also very interesting.  Surprisingly there were large number of people from our walking group at the language discussion.

There are various venues used for the different events and this blip was taken on the green by the Public Hall where a marquee is erected serving food, drinks and providing opportunities to purchases books from the contributing authors.
