Shimmering

I took advantage of my day off and went up to Whaley Bridge for a nice walk up the valley to Fernilee reservoir and back. Beautiful weather and few others walking the same route as me.
Back in Whaley I went to the Little Fika cafe and had a pot of tea and some delicious lemon drizzle cake believing I might have already walked off the calorie count! Got talking to a lovely 90 yr old lady who was on an outing care of her neighbour.
Then had a walk up the canal to Buxworth basin. I first went there on a narrow boat holiday before moving to the area - so prior to 1986. It's always lovely to see the transformation from derelict to functioning. Chatted to a lovely couple of 'live aboards'.
Must learn to pluck up courage to ask if I can take photos of people - they would have made a great blip. Instead it's the beautiful shimmering reflection of the water on the underside of a road bridge over the canal.
Extra is a little luxury delivery bring made to one of the other live aboards!
