Bird watching
It's a long time since I've seen a cat at Blackford Pond but this one seemed very much at home there.
As regards the bird life, the swan family were all present and correct, the mallards were changing into their breeding plumage and I saw a pair doing a courting dance with their heads; also some tufted ducks were back, there was one adult little grebe feeding a raucous youngster but also a youngster now on its own, and moorhens and blackheaded gulls.
Another glorious day, I had to get out to make the most of it rather than do chores at home.
