Jelly Beans

I know it is a flower! In fact it is Eschscholzia californica, but its common name is Californian Poppy. And it is a hardy annual according to the seed packed. But in my garden, very uncommon! I had a packet of seeds kicking around for years, at least six maybe more. So I thought I would see what happened with them. About 6 seedlings came up, but only this one made it to flower! And there are two more buds on it. 

So for next year I am going to try a fresh packet of seeds and see if I can produce more plants, because going by this one they will look stunning in a group ;-)
