Jim's Opus

The demise of Pattie's Home Plate, here in St. Johns, led to talk of 'Mr. Holland's Opus,' with its one scene filmed in front of Pattie's, and that led to Jim telling me he did production sketches for the film. So he showed me a few of the sketches after we finished our lunch at Cheryl's on 12th and Washington. All of Jim's sketches are fine and I wish he'd do more, but no, he's more caught up in a brand new retirement and hardly seems to be in town any longer.
