And in Pembrokeshire
People of all ages turned out to support the school strike in Haverfordwest today.
Young people from the town's schools and college were invited by the leader of the county council to register their willingness to get involved in the local authority's climate emergency planning and many stepped forward to do so.
Mothers with young children and many old/er women were prominent among the demonstrators. There were no dissenting voices although an action yesterday to close down (briefly) a nearby oil refinery, resulting in a temporary local inconvenience, received some very abusive reactions from people who clearly didn't understand that this movement is trying to forestall a global catastrophe.
If you haven't seen it I recommend watching this very short video on the climate crisis made by Greta Thunberg and George Monbiot.
It's been good to see many other blips of similar demonstrations from around the country, and the world.
