A good golf day!!

Played in a golf comp yesterday, 88 players. It was a pairs comp so Roy and I played together. We came 2nd losing out on first prize by 2 points. We won a Callaway golf bag each, valued at over a 100gbp, but best of all I won one of the nearest the pin prizes which is a voucher for Specsavers to the value of 250 euros, so I've got no excuse for not seeing the golf ball now.

I always take my camera with me just in case I spot something unusual. This tree, or whats left of it, is at the side of one of the fairways. It is obviously an old olive tree which has rotted away and is completely hollow inside. I bet its a wonderful haven for bugs and things. Interestingly the inside of the tree is black, as if it has had a fire inside of it. Val, remember the tree in your house in Huyton!

Off on holiday tomorrow to the Costa del Sol for a week, no cooking for a week, eating out every night.
