She Has Grand Designs

So Mrs C whisked me away mid afternoon for a surprise weekend away (she had warned me!). I had to work in the car as we travelled but I had no idea where we were going, except south. We arrived in Bowness-on-Windermere at our lodgings around 7.30pm was setting so I didn't have much time for a blip. The guest house was featured on Grand Designs some years ago while it was being built and seems to have had a complicated journey through to completion, but it is quite stunning, and just the type of house I would expect to see on TV! And on top of that, there's views like this across Windermere. Good choice Mrs C!
