The Kings Troop

Firstly, many thanks for all the hearts and comments on yesterday's blip. All very much appreciated!

We had a lovely evening yesterday having dinner at the Blakeney Hotel with Blippers Bom and GracieG and Gracie's husband M. Normally we are awake at 6.30-7.00am and W always switches on the news on the TV but this morning we were a bit later so it was 8.30am by the time we saw the news. We then discovered that The Kings Troop of the Royal Artillery were out exercising their horses on the beach at Holkham. It only happens a couple of times a year and is a great spectacle seeing the horses riding through the surf, so we quickly jumped into the car and drove over. Sadly, we were too late to see them exercising as they were just coming off the beach when we got there, but at least we saw all the horses riding back; a great sight.

Breakfast in the beach cafe at Holkham and then a day of pottering around and a couple of walks from the cottage. Back home tomorrow; it's been a great week.
