Þrettándinn

Celebrating the last day of Christmas "Þrettándinn" with bonfires and left over fireworks from New Year's Eve. At the bonfire elf queens and kings sometimes like to join in with song and dance.
Since Christmas day the 13 Icelandic Christmas lads have been going back up to the mountains one by one and the last one Kertasníkir is leaving tonight - the Twelfth night - marking the end of the Christmas season.
